Calculating a date in the past

Date-ago calculations subtract whole calendar days from your current local date. The result follows calendar boundaries, including month and year changes, instead of assuming that every day contains exactly 24 elapsed hours.

Preset results are useful for checking filing windows, reviewing account activity, reconstructing project dates or identifying the weekday attached to a relative date. Each page also shows the week number and day of year for cross-checking records.

The answer is based on the date currently shown in your device time zone. Near midnight, someone in another region may still have a different current date, so record the starting date explicitly when sharing or auditing the result.
